What is chiptuning?
Chiptunning in fact is raising of the capacity of a car only by changes in the ruling electronics of its engine. Each contemporary aggregate is managed by electronic block named SCU (Electronic Control Unit) – known like car’s computer. There is a chip (Bearer of information) with written program in that controller, which can set the manner of the engine work. You might say that each step of the engine work at different regime of operation exploitation is written in that chip. In other words all management of the engine is defined and depended on that program. Parameters of the managing program (managing software) are changing with the chiptunning and this way the motor works with a new manner – we obtain higher capacity but lower consumption of fuel. It is also possible to eliminate some restrictions with the chiptunning which are in pawn by the producer, for example electronic speed limitation or limitation of the highest revolutions, to eliminate the filter for stiff fractions etc.
